Why does my guy friend act this way?

I do that too, i just joke around with the "way not to talk to me" thing. Just because you guys talk for a long time everyday does not necessarily mean he wants you two to be a couple. I have a few female friends i talk to for hours at a time, not every night though. It doesn't mean i wanna date them, i just like talking to them. maybe he likes the comfort of having someone there to talk too, i know i do.
