What the hell happened to Jim Carrey?

He used to be awesome back in the Ace Ventura days, now his movies are mediocre at best, and I just find out he's coming out with a film full of so much gayness(I love you Philip Morris). It's for me like watching a hero fall into a pool of shame face first. Sometimes people get older and lose a bit of their zing but DAMN!!!!
