Can you circise a dog?

We recently had to get our 5 year old "cut" due to a medical condition and he has been hit pretty bad emotionally by the new physical change. My wife and I have been discussing the possibility of getting our 2 year old Golden Retreiver "SNIPPED" as well that way my son can see that it is completely normal and that even Sparky the dog had it done. Is this possible? Can a vet do it or do I need a Rabbi?
